Friendship Circle is dedicated to inclusion. To helping our Special Need children, who would often get left out by our society and communities. Friendship Circle is about creating opportunities for our children to be engaged, to be involved, to be loved and celebrated.

Let me tell you a story about Friendship Circle:

During Covid, when public schools were shuttered, even as private schools opened their doors for students since fall, our special needs children were suffering. Their siblings and peers in private schools were thriving in the routines of their jewish day schools, while our special needs kids with IEPs who rely on the public schools for their therapeutic education, were stuck at home with the boring and lonely virtual school. Friendship Circle saw the need of these children, and stepped up to the plate, doing what others hadn't dared to do. They created a Winter Camp experience for our children, IN PERSON! Bassie and Zelig came each day, figured out all the safety guidelines and logistics, and planned a full week of fun, friendship filled, and engaging days for our kids. (At the last minute, our family got Covid the day before camp started, so we were in quarantine and my son couldn't attend camp, to our disappointment. But, ever so dedicated, Bassie and Zelig personally came every single day to deliver a box to our doorstep, full of all the supplies we needed for us to do the crafts and activities at home.) Each day I looked through the photos of the camp day that were shared, and saw the glowing faces of the campers, relishing in the experience of being together with other children, having a routine, a reason to leave the house... I read the heartwarming comments of the parents, about a camper who was wearing tefilin for the first time since his bar mitzvah a few months prior, glowing with pride in the photo of him davening next to Zelig in camp, after months of staying home and not being motivated to do it on his own. And I saw the magic of what Friendship Circle can accomplish.

Please, join me in supporting this cause, so that Friendship Circle can continue their critical work.

I'm including some photos of Yosef Chaim at Friendship Circle camp in previous years, as well as photos of him with his Special Friend, a high school volunteer from Bais Yaakov, who started coming to play with him each week as part of FC's Friends-At-Home program, and has been coming every week for 3 years straight, just to spend time with Yosef Chaim. I am humbled by her dedication.

Please help me support Friendship Circle by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Friendship Circle's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!
